Uranium Mines

It was my first time hiking the Uranium Mines Trail near Fish Creek Falls in Steamboat.  After my friend Kimberlee and I passed sweeping views of the Yampa Valley, the trail gradually lowered and came to an end at this breathtaking section of Fish Creek.  Since it could only be seen by teetering on a boulder, I couldn't set up my easel there.  I was content to enjoy the scene while we were there, and I used reference photos to create this painting.
